Stainless 440A is a high-carbon high-chromium stainless steel which
provides moderate corrosion resistance from mild atmospheres, fresh
water, steam, ammonia, many petroleum products, organic materials, and
several mild acid environments. Stainless 440A has been used for dental
and surgical instruments, cutlery, valve parts, pivot pins etc.
Available forms are seamless pipe, welded pipe,
seamless tube, welded tube, bar, wire, sheet, plate, forgings, pipe
fittings and flanges. |
